RHA’s MA390 Wireless are classy, banded in-ears with a working-class price

The MA390 Wireless headphones have an IPX4 evaluation, which should allow them to stand everything from rainy walks to lengthy workouts — another thing that makes us feel optimistic about the long-term possible of them, versus additional sub-$100 choices. We’ve been able to spend a short quantity of time checking out the MA390 before they hit the marketplace, and are surprised at how well they function at their affordable price point. The cans will retail for an easy-to-stomach $70 on Amazon, and easily beat out many other headphones at the sub-$100 price point — especially wireless ones — with virtually no link noise, aptX and AAC capability, eight hours of battery life, and also the ability to sync to two devices simultaneously. “We designed the MA390 Wireless using quality materials and technology,” explained Kyle Hutchinson, the organization’s head of product design, in a press release. “We packed our preferred functionality into a flexible, robust headphone. It can be taken on experiences with no users worrying about battery life or even the headset being overly delicate.” Plus, they actually sound quite nice. We enjoyed the way in which the small in-ears reproduced our favorite new music, bringing great bass response when listening to terrific modern hip-hop from Blackthought, and even providing a surprisingly open soundstage when listening to saxophonist Kamasi Washington’s latest double album. Passive noise isolation was also amazingly great for a headset in this price class, and we enjoyed the way that the metallic hints were magnetized, sticking back for easier storage (and probably providing fewer cable issues for buyers down the line). British audio brand RHA has announced a wireless version of its favorite MA390 headphones, aiming to catch a portion of the market who’s tired of tangled wires or has transitioned into a mobile phone with no headset jack. Called the MA390 Wireless, the brand new in-ears offer you the same classy, understated looks that the company is well known for. The small silver ear tips are connected to round plastic cylinders and a thick rubberized neckband, with a small, three-way remote control over cable from the ideal earphone. Having a simple black and smokey gray colorway, these will appeal to those who don’t desire something gaudy around their necks while out and about.
